Miomoptera est un ordre d'insectes éteints qui vivait du milieu du Carbonifère jusqu'au commencement du milieu du Jurassique. Certaines familles sont considérées comme les ancêtres de tous les insectes holométaboles[1], c'est-à-dire, à métamorphoses complètes.
