États-Unis) : Medicine Wheel National Historic Landmark
Les roues médecine (en anglais : Medicine wheels) sont des cercles sacrés aménagés par les Amérindiens à l'aide de pierres. Les Indiens des Plaines dessinaient des ronds de pierres d’environ 30 mètres de diamètre avec 28 rayons[1]. Ils y organisaient en secret leurs rites, comme la Danse du Soleil. Les spécialistes pensent qu’ils étaient utilisés pour calculer le temps et déterminer le solstice d'été[2].
