MTS Allstream

MTS Allstream (TSX : MBT), filiale en propriété exclusive de Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., est l'un des plus importants fournisseurs de services de télécommunications au Canada et la principale compagnie de télécommunications de la province du Manitoba. La société MTS (abrégé de Manitoba Telephone System ou Manitoba Telecom Services) a été constituée en 1908 par le gouvernement du Manitoba afin de développer le service du téléphone dans cette province. En 2004, elle prend le contrôle de la compagnie Allstream (anciennement AT&T Canada, Unitel et Télécommunications CNCP), un opérateur alternatif détenant un réseau optique de 24 300 km, et présent à l'échelle nationale. À travers sa division Allstream, la compagnie vend des services de télécommunications aux entreprises à travers tout le Canada. La société emploie 6 000 salariés à l'échelle nationale, dont 3 000 au Manitoba. MTS, qui est coté en bourse sur le Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX : MBT), a enregistré un chiffre d'affaires de 1,9 milliards de dollars canadiens en 2006. La société est actuellement dirigée par Pierre Blouin.
