Lloyd Cole (né le 31 janvier 1961) est un chanteur/compositeur anglais, qui officia en tant que chanteur principal de Lloyd Cole and the Commotions de 1984 à 1989 avant de poursuivre une carrière solo. Leur premier album "Rattlesnakes" a été considéré et est toujours considéré comme l'un des meilleurs albums de ces cinquante dernières années. Il sera suivi de 2 albums et une compilation. Puis en solo Lloyd Cole gardera l'aura de songwriter, avec des productions comme "Lloyd Cole", "Love Story", "The Negatives", "Music In A Foreign Language"... Aujourd'hui autoproduit, ses albums sont plus confidentiels en termes de vente mais il reste très créatif. Depuis 2007, plusieurs compilations d'inédits ont été publiées, principalement disponibles sur son site, nous prouvant la richesse de son œuvre.
