PERCEPTION

PERCEPTION: n. f.

Recette, recouvrement des impositions. La perception des impôts, des contributions.

Il se dit aussi d’un Emploi de percepteur. Il a obtenu une perception.

Il désigne également le Bureau du percepteur. Adressez-vous à la perception.

PERCEPTION désigne, en termes de Philosophie, l’Acte par lequel le sujet prend connaissance des objets qui ont fait impression sur ses sens. Perception distincte, confuse, imparfaite. Perception du son, de la couleur, de la saveur, de l’odeur, de la solidité.

Par extension, on appelle Perception interne ou intérieure la Connaissance que prend le sujet de ses états de conscience.

PERCEPTION désigne aussi, par extension, Ce que l’esprit perçoit. Les perceptions sensibles.
