Action par laquelle un enfant est conçu dans le sein de sa mère. Au temps de la conception de l'enfant. Depuis la conception jusqu'à l'enfantement. La fête de la Conception de la sainte Vierge, ou simplement, de la Conception.   Il se dit également en parlant Des femelles des animaux.

CONCEPTION, se dit figurément de La faculté de comprendre et de concevoir les choses. Il a la conception vive, facile, dure.
