Interprétation, traduction d'une langue en une autre. Version littérale. La version de la Bible. La version des Septante. La version qu'on nomme la Vulgate. L'ancienne version italique. La version chaldaïque, arabe, syriaque. Version hérétique. Une version latine, grecque, anglaise, italienne, etc. Version fidèle, exacte. Faire une version. Lorsqu'il s'agit de La traduction d'un livre, le plus grand usage de ce mot est en parlant Des anciennes traductions de l'Écriture.  Il se dit, particulièrement, Des traductions que les écoliers font dans les colléges d'une langue ancienne en leur propre langue. Son fils a remporté le prix de version latine, de version grecque.

VERSION, dans le langage familier, se dit de La manière de raconter un fait. Cette version n'est pas fidèle. Votre version n'est pas la mienne. Il y a sur ce fait différentes versions.
