PERCEPTION

PERCEPTION: . s. f.
Recette, recouvrement de deniers, de fruits, de revenus, d'impositions. Il est commis à la perception de tels droits. Il est obligé de rendre compte du revenu de cet héritage après la perception des fruits. La perception des impôts, des contributions. Il se dit quelquefois d'Un emploi de percepteur. Il a fait avoir une perception à son fils.

PERCEPTION, en Philosophie, L'acte par lequel l'âme connaît, aperçoit les objets qui ont fait impression sur les sens. Perception distincte, confuse, imparfaite. Perception du son, de la couleur, de la saveur, de l'odeur, de la solidité. Nous ne jugeons de la simplicité ou de la composition des objets, que par le nombre des perceptions qu'ils produisent en nous.
