Gerçure, petite fente, petite crevasse. Fissure de la peau. Les fissures que l'on remarque sur l'écorce de certains arbres. Voyez SCISSURE.

FISSURE, en termes de Chirurgie, Fracture longitudinale d'un os qui est seulement fêlé ou fendu. Les fissures du crâne sont dangereuses.
